Recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Troy Kirby, Director of Ticket Operations for UC Davis Athletics for his podcast called the “Tao of Sports.” I spoke with Troy about a number of things, but mainly focused on the branding issues that arise in ticket sales within college and professional sports. The juxtaposition of the ticket sales goals and the branding goals shows that they are not supposed to be separate goals, however many times they are treated that way.
