| Who: Arena Football League (AFL) team.
Need: Establish the Avengers brand as a viable entertainment alternative in a crowded Southern California marketplace.
Approach: After extensive internal and market analysis, Adrenalin determined that the Avengers needed to brand their product as “real” football, emphasize the excitement of the game and present the team as a fan-friendly experience.
Adrenalin went to work, developing a campaign based upon these determinations. A series of taglines was created, the most successful being “Avengers Football: Fun. Fast. Furious.” These taglines eventually became the foundation for the Avengers marketing efforts. Sales and marketing collateral all followed the theme, maximizing branding impact from limited marketing resources.
Result: The Los Angeles Avengers are consistently ranked among the top teams in the AFL in attendance and have had an overall increase in ticket sales each season (70% increase from 2001 to 2004). |
