Founded Adrenalin in 1997, Adrenalin has developed into a full-service creative and strategy agency for a wide range of clients from major professional sports leagues to the outdoor lifestyle industry. We’ve been a part of some truly historic sports branding projects—from the new Phoenix Coyotes logo to the rebranding of the LA Kings in the years leading up to their first Stanley Cup win in 2012. Dan launched Adrenalin with co-founder Rick Fillmon in 1997 after serving as Creative Director for the Denver Nuggets for 9 years and the Colorado Avalanche for 2 years. During his tenure with the teams, he directed the redesign of the Denver Nuggets logo, the design of the Colorado Avalanche logo and led the organizations’ campaign creative.
It was during this time that Dan gained a wealth of experience and contacts throughout the industry. Contacts that would later serve as the foundation necessary to start Adrenalin.
His sports industry experience, brand development methods and ability to understand client objectives are keys to Adrenalin’s clients’ success. Recognizing the branding needs of Adrenalin’s extensive list of national and local clients, he led the charge in the development of Adrenalin’s proprietary BRAND XP process — a three-step process that starts with a detailed analysis of an organizations needs and concludes with a complete campaign launch and execution.
Under his creative direction Adrenalin talented team has produced complete brand makeovers, and marketing campaigns for teams and leagues across the country. Through his illustrious career, Dan’s enjoyed sharing his experiences with other marketing and sports professional through public speaking and mentoring programs. His work and opinions have been conveyed nationally in SBJ, Print Magazine and Marketing News. And, locally on Denver’s NBC, ABC and CBS, Colorado Public Radio, the Denver Post and (former) Rocky Mountain News. He’s a regular guest speaker at the University of Colorado, Denver and has shared his sports and brand experiences at a variety of organizations including National Sports Forum, Colorado State University, Johnson & Wales University, Denver University and the United States Olympic Committee.
Dan is a Chapter Board Member for the National Sports Marketing Network and sits on the Advisory Council for the Sports and Entertainment Management program at the University of Colorado, Denver Graduate Business School and the marketing committee for The Ronald McDonald House® Charities of Denver. He also provides creative services for Project Healing Waters in Colorado.
Dan enjoys snowboarding, cycling, hiking and fishing with his wife and two daughters.

As a company co-founder and Vice President of Business Operations at Adrenalin, Rick brings a variety of strengths to Adrenalin. His operations oversight ranges from strategic planning to creative, design and production, along with estimating, scheduling or management he is involved in all facets of projects at Adrenalin. Either working direct with clients, internally with co-workers or managing vendor relations, Rick tries to approach every task with insight and visualization needed to achieve the goals of our clients. With over 25 years experience in creative, information technology, fiscal management and supervisory rolls, Rick gained “in the trenches” experience working with the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche. There he discovered his passion for sports and entertainment creative work, after having previously worked more than a decade with companies specializing in customer retention programs and direct mail marketing for Fortune 1000 companies.
Rick is a graduate of The Art Institute of Colorado and continues to explore new technology, communication and marketing options for Adrenalin through educational classes and seminars.
As a Colorado native, Rick is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys spending time fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Jessica often traveled to Colorado for family ski vacations. She fell in love with all Colorado had to offer
and vowed to return to fulfill her studies in Communications and Political Science at Colorado State University. It was during her tenure at CSU that
her peers recognized her talents and rewarded her with various positions on their staff, including that of Marketing/Promotions Intern for the Athletic
Department. It was here the former softball standout and fan of Chicago’s great sports teams found her love for sports marketing, and prepared herself
for new challenges that lay ahead.
Jessica brought her talents to Adrenalin where she serves as Senior Director, Brand Strategy. In her role, she is responsible for fostering new relationships, providing strategic insight for current and prospective clients and helping Adrenalin’s current partners grow their brands. In addition she spearheads Adrenalin’s marketing, and oversees the company’s website, blogs and other communication efforts.
In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, friends, cheering on her Chicago sports teams, and playing with her dogs Maverick and Hank.

Eddy has developed this unique skill set through his work with a wide range of brands, from retailing franchises like Pizza Hut, Boston Market, Timberland and Blockbuster to adventure brands like Nordica, Kastle and Giant. Through this wide ranging work history, he has developed significant experience and expertise in the motivation and engagement of employees at all levels of organizations leading to the more effective training, deployment and implementation.
With more than 15 years’ experience as a writer, Courtney has worked with companies of all sizes from Fortune-500 and non-profits, to start-ups. She’s written for a broad range of formats including web, social, outdoor, video, radio, collateral, PR and even print. As a writer, Courtney prides herself on creating copy that connects with a brand’s unique positioning and strategy. Additionally, she is a strong believer in the power of collaboration and has worked with all levels of an organization including boards-of-directors and leadership teams.
A member of the Adrenalin team since 2016, Courtney combines her love for research with her creative thinking to write narratives that help our clients achieve their desired outcomes by clarifying and simplifying their communication efforts.
When not at work, Courtney spends time with her family biking, snowboarding, on the tennis court or tossing the frisbee. She also travels whenever opportunity
allows!
Rob Siegal is a seasoned consumer insights expert, with experience across a variety of industries. He strategically focuses research techniques to maximize the potential of brands and marketing initiatives.
Rob brings a variety of industry experience, including restaurant & food service, higher education, consumer packaged goods, retail, healthcare, fitness & wellness, advertising, beverages, resort & lodging, outdoor sports, equipment & apparel.
Rob has a BA in Statistics from the University of Michigan, and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Colorado. When he’s not developing insights for Adrenalin clients, you can find him in the mountains with his family enjoying all Colorado has to offer.
As a member of Adrenalin’s team since 2003, Ron Sellers provides consumer insights and research strategy to our clients. His work has been featured in
USA Today, Brandweek, Harvard Business Review, and even The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and he is the author of over 50 articles in a wide variety
of industry publications.
Clients he has worked with include a Stanley Cup champion, an MLS Cup champion, various sports leagues, multiple television networks, nearly a hundred different non-profit organizations, and ten Fortune 500 firms. Ron revels in uncovering unexpected insights that help brand strategists take clients to new levels of success; his motto is A Passion for Research That Makes a Difference.
A graduate of Pepperdine University, Ron is a dedicated sports fan, and hopes to build on his two fantasy football league championships managing his team, the Amish Freedom Fighters, while his wife and daughter roll their eyes. Again.
Shane is a workhorse for Adrenalin’s clients. With dynamic inspiration, he has directed winning creative for a wide variety of sports teams, leagues, entertainment properties, lifestyle, natural food and beverage brands, and then some. His passion and relentless drive has been on display for over 25 years forging brands to the finest detail, with nearly 10 of those years working on staff directly with the leadership at Adrenalin. His deep experience and unbeatable skills are always ready to serve. Shane believes in eyes-wide-open optimism, putting his heart into everything and stirring the natural adrenaline to make it on-time and most importantly, effective.
Shane is somewhat of a renaissance man–a former All-State football player and coach, wrestler, catcher, Tae Kwon Do black belt, ballet dancer, bar band front man, and choir singer. This father of four now puts his time into his family, some yoga here and there, weight training and golf.
Peju Alawusa is a well-versed art director/ graphic designer with over 12 years of experience in the areas of Publishing, editorial design, retail marketing, and web design & development. She spent her formative years living and studying in London, England and Lagos, Nigeria until moving to the United States to continue her studies and begin her professional career.
Peju’s proficiencies include concept development and design for advertising, marketing and promotions targeting diverse demographics and representing a variety of industries. Throughout her career, she has worked and managed strategic campaigns for global companies including: Coors Brewing Company, Remy Amerique International, Compaq, RJR Reynolds, American Express, MTV, Simon & Schuster to name a few. Notably, her tenure at The African Media, Inc. enabled her to use her knowledge of international business through work with clients such as: The African Magazine, Goge Africa and the Nigerian Arts & Crafts Organization. She joined the Adrenalin team in 2013.
Her insight and expertise in developing design solutions, social media strategies, and integrated marketing has been invaluable. The diversity of her work reveals an ability to apply design skills in innovative ways that elevate the brand and design excellence. Peju’s impressive portfolio encompasses an extensive collection of websites, magazines, ads, posters, media kits, outdoors, packaging and point of sale materials.

For over 20 years, Carey has been helping companies from coast to coast and across the UK to share their unique stories with the world. His experience in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Ireland, Hawai’i, and Denver gives him a diverse perspective on marketing for specialized sectors. Along the way, he’s developed collateral for Fortune 500 tech giants Adobe and Autodesk, UK consumer packaging for Coke and Lucozade, promotional materials for Mauna Kea and Halekulani beach resorts, apparel for Gap and lifestyle brand MauiThing, and in-store branding for Northeast fast food chains Fresh City and Super Salad. Although he has only been a member of the Adrenalin team since early 2015, Carey has amassed a unique set of skills and insight that help him craft work that speaks, solves, and sells.
When not pushing pixels, Carey spends his time playing bass guitar in rock, bluegrass and jazz bands around the Denver area. He also has a deep love for animals in all shapes and sizes.
With a global clientele presence spanning both sport and corporate industries, Skye has created distinctive, engaging, and functional brand identities for over ten years.
During a three-year position with a premier sport branding agency in the greater New York City area, Skye developed team, league, event, and commemorative identities for some of the most recognized sport organizations in the country.
He’s been a member of Adrenalin’s team since 2009 creating timeless icons, custom typography, and thematic art to enhance the brand story for each of our clients.
Skye graduated from Campbell University in 2008, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Mass Communications. Originally from Maine, his interests include golf, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors.
For 9 years Matt honed his video skills working for the Miami Dolphins. What started as an internship out of McDaniel College in Westminster Maryland turned
into a position as Manager of Video Content.
Through his time with the Dolphins Matt was honored for his creativity and talents by his peers throughout the NFL and the video industry. Included in his many accomplishments are 8 Suncoast Emmys, two National Promax BDAs (one silver one gold), an IDEA award for best in game presentation in the NFL and a Clio Sports Awards Short List in 2017. He has worked 8 Super Bowls, 7 Pro Bowls and 7 NFL Drafts as a cinematographer and editor for the NFL. His work for the NFL paved the way to opportunities to produce a variety of videos for major league sports organizations including EA Sports, the Kentucky Derby, Manchester City Soccer Club, Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, the Miami Marlins, the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets.
Word traveled fast and soon Matt was producing videos for some of the world’s most recognized brands including Anheuser-Busch, New Balance and Armed Forces Entertainment to name a few. Matt is a welcomed addition to the Adrenalin team and will prove to be a valuable asset to our many clients in and outside of the sports industry.
Outside of work Matt enjoys movies, photography, the theater and concerts with his wife and two kids.
Tim creates moving images, whether they be stills or video.
His energetic style has evolved over many years working in the commercial and editorial markets producing beautiful sports-related photographs for many well-known, international brands and publications. His has worked with many of the world’s top athletes from all of the top-level professional leagues.
Equally comfortable in the studio or on location, he brings a wealth of experience working under all types of conditions and makes sure the work gets done right, to the client’s desires, while applying his unique stamp to every job. Tim regularly shoots stills and video for advertising and catalog projects for some of the top sportswear manufacturers in the country.
He has been a member of Adrenalin’s team since it’s inception and has collaborated on many projects over the years including the Harlem Globetrotters, Minnesota Wild, Lincoln Financial, to name a few. When he’s not shooting or editing, Tim enjoys running, cycling and surfing.
Matt brings all flavors of animation to the table. He studied Engineering, Graphic Design and Photography at Purdue and Bradley. He worked his way up through the ranks of video graphics starting out as art director at the NBC affiliate in central Illinois. Matt followed the crest of the digital wave as video and film animation rolled into the world of pixels. After working as lead animator in Chicago Matt was off to Hollywood where he focused on national TV commercials for companies such as Nike, Coke, Pepsi, Chevy, Dodge, Disneyland and Bud Light, just to name a few. Matt also specialized in visual effects production in music videos for artists including Michael Jackson, U2, the Rolling Stones, Luther Vandross, Madonna and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Matt has the distinction of receiving 19 Emmy Awards in Directing, Animation, Best Commercial and Graphics. With 39 years of experience in video graphics and directing, Matt has brought a world of experience and versatility to the Adrenalin team for over 15 years. Matt's work motto is "If it LOOKS good, it IS good."
When not pixelating, Matt enjoys the many outdoor activities afforded residents of sunny Phoenix.
After getting his BFA in Graphic Design at Colorado State University, Dan worked as a graphic designer while developing his hand lettering and pursuing custom typography work on the side. Once his lettering became known and he began winning assignments with ad agencies and design studios he decided to dedicate himself to his lettering.
Dan worked at Hallmark Cards for five years where he gained invaluable experience working in the world’s most renowned lettering department.
Dan is known for his large range of lettering styles and provides custom one-of-a-kind lettering solutions to Adrenalin’s clients that put personality and authenticity into words that help their brands stand out in the marketplace.
Dan is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys biking and mountain climbing.
Rick has a diverse professional background spanning a variety of roles, industries and geographies. As Adrenalin’s digital/mobile app consultant, he leverages extensive experience working with developers, customers and partners to help guide clients through the process of successfully evaluating, building and launching their app projects.
Rick’s career began in sales, marketing and operations with the (NBA) Denver Nuggets and (NHL) Colorado Avalanche. He later left the sports world to pursue an MBA in International Business, leading him to his second career in technology. For 14 years he worked with several Fortune 500 telecommunications, networking and software companies in roles such as business development, project management, M & A, operations and marketing.
With a passion for sports and Colorado, he returned to Denver and served for six years as VP of Partnerships and Marketing at the USA Pro Challenge—the largest professional cycling event in North America. He led the event’s technology & digital initiatives, most notably, improving their mobile app and streaming video offerings. Optimizing user experience, driving traffic and increasing monetization opportunities were the primary focus. 254,000 fans engaged via the app during race week.
Following the Pro Challenge, Rick focused on the rapidly growing SportsTech space. He has worked with software clients in amateur/youth sports, professional basketball and eSports. With roles encompassing a variety of areas like Business Development, UI/UX optimization, Project Management, Sales, and Customer Engagement he has a unique understanding of how different business functions impact the success of an organization’s mobile app strategy.
Phil was working as a night security guard when Netscape kicked off the dotcom boom with its IPO. During one of his security rounds, he found a thick HTML book lying on a table. For the next 3 nights, he picked it up and worked through every page, resulting in the creation of his first website. Fast-forward through several years of more formal education with Macromedia/Adobe (to learn ColdFusion), Lotus (Notes/Domino), and Sun Microsystems (Java), and Phil had secured a role as a senior consulting for an international technology firm and established himself as one of the leading web marketing experts in Colorado. He’s designed and built brand websites for the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Frontier Airlines, Vail Resorts, Atkins, Rubbermaid, Dish Network, Shell Oil, Molson Coors, and hundreds of other clients in all industries.
Today, he splits his work between web strategy, web design, information architecture, platform integration, and creating social media campaigns generating over 90k likes.
Leslie provides proof that you don’t have to work at a huge ad agency to save clients millions of dollars. She packed up her big Chicago agency experience and moved to Denver to show local and regional and national clients that they, too, can have effective, affordable media campaigns. Thanks to her Leo Burnett/Starcom training as both a media buyer and a planner, Leslie handles all facets of the media process including competitive analyses, target audience definition, establishing effective spending levels, negotiating ad rates and results tracking.
Truly a media neutral planner/buyer, Leslie is equally comfortable negotiating national magazines, out-of-home, online media and radio as she is partnering with sports arenas to create effective ad partnerships. For the past 25 years she has developed and implemented media plans for a variety of clients including: Allstate Insurance, Kraft, Mountain High Yoghurt, Xcel Energy, Red Robin Restaurants, and Colorado State University. She joined the Adrenalin team in 2013 to help our clients find creative and resourceful ways to get their message to their respective target audiences.
Colorado is the perfect home for Leslie and her family as they enjoy hiking, skiing, horseback riding and mountain biking. Leslie still prefers condos to camping, but her husband and boys are trying to change that.
Judy’s creativity, networking and drive are the strength behind what she does. She thrives on challenges that help her clients excel in business. Judy knows how to market to the vast majority and hone in on creative ways to stretch the marketing dollars. “I love advertising and connecting my clients together in non-traditional ways, think outside of the box.” Judy has worked in strategic business development for several businesses in all facets of media.
Known for her years of experience in the media world, Judy is always looking at future ways to reach the next consumer. “I want to be remembered as the person who made a difference, changed people’s opinions about media and perhaps even got them excited to advertise.” Judy is not afraid to work harder to make her clients look their best.
Raised in Chicago, Judy moved to Colorado for the outdoor lifestyle. Yes, she is a Bears fan but you will not catch her doing the shuffle, she spends her free time with her two beautiful daughters and her husband traveling to the mountains to hike, snowshoe or bike. But you may want to stay out of the fast lane if you see her coming up behind you, she is known to fly down the mountain to catch a good meal and a walk in the park with friends.
With more than 20 years of legal experience in all areas of transactional law from business startups to mature organizations, Gennaro has dealt with just about every conceivable business issue. He advises a broad range of clients in all facets of their business needs, including corporate formation, business transaction structure, financing, corporate law, securities, licenses, contracts, business sales and acquisitions, intellectual property (copyright, trade secret and trademark issues) and art and entertainment law. He focuses on using his years of big law firm experience to provide a more custom oriented solution for clients of all sizes.
A member of the Adrenalin team since 2009, Gennaro handles all legal matters and helps Adrenalin clients navigate business and trademark issues. He also reviews designs for trademark and copyright issues and processes trademark applications.
Gennaro graduated with a bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Middle Tennessee State University’s Recording Industry Management program in 1994 and received his law degree in 1997 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
As a Colorado native, in his spare time you can find him enjoying time with his family, skiing, playing pickup basketball and enjoying the Colorado outdoors.
