National Ski Areas Association - Logo Redesign + Rebranding Campaign

When the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) — the trade association for 90% of the ski areas in the United States — saw the need for a more cohesive connection across their communications, they knew a rebrand would be a necessary first step. A Request For Proposals (RFP) was sent out to qualifying branding agencies and Adrenalin Sports Marketing (a division of Real FiG Advertising + Marketing) quickly made its way to the top of the list. The leadership at the NSAA was familiar with Adrenalin’s rich history of building brands for the outdoor/ski industry and knew that the NSAA could achieve its brand goals with Adrenalin leading the process.

The team at Adrenalin conducted the necessary brand sessions with the key leaders at NSAA to better understand their specific goals and provide solutions for how to best 1) Capture the NSAA’s rich history and 2) Build a brand story through new logos and graphic elements that promote NSAA’s leadership through their annual conferences, tradeshows, and educational programs.

The Result

The development of a new National Ski Areas Association logo has captured the attention of NSAA’s members and serves as the foundation for a plethora of secondary event and program logos. Collectively, the new marks represent the NSAA as the developer of the events while raising the brand value of the organization as a whole.

“NSAA was in dire need of both a brand refresh and a set of brand standards so we could consolidate all of our divergent materials into one cohesive look. Adrenalin understands the world in which we operate, but they allowed our association’s expertise and needs to drive the process. We felt heard as a client, which is so important. But in listening to us, Adrenalin also identified the right boundaries to push and helped us to explore concepts we hadn’t thought of. That’s what makes working with Adrenalin fun - they’re creative, communicative, and fearless, with a deep bench of experts to help us achieve our goals.”
